Treat yourself to a two-day creative retreat on the beautiful island of Ærø. Slow down, reconnect with nature, and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of plants and colours.
At Gravendal, a historic family farm surrounded by beautiful nature, we’ll explore the landscape right outside our door. You’ll learn to create your own unique botanical prints while enjoying delicious meals made with local, natural ingredients.
During the retreat, you’ll be introduced to two plant-printing techniques: Hapa Zome and monotype, both of which can be used on paper and textiles.
We’ll collect fresh plants from the surrounding landscape and use them in the printing proces. With Hapa Zome, we transfer the natural pigments of plants directly onto paper or fabric. In monotype printing, we use printing colors and gel plates to create beautiful, layered botanical compositions.
By the end of the retreat, you’ll have the skills and confidence to continue exploring these techniques at home.
No previous experience is needed — everyone is welcome!
The retreat is hosted by Mette Meldgaard og Pernille Folcarelli.
